Change Your Display Name
To hide your username, you can create a display name. This will show up in all places where your name appears, such as chatrooms, stories, and other online platforms. Although people can still see your username if they click on it, it will at least help to cover it up with something you like more.
In the Bitmoji settings, you can change how your profile looks and behaves. You can choose to have a more traditional profile picture, or add a emoji of yourself. You can also set how often you want to be contacted by your friends and followers.
You can change your first and last name under your settings.
You don’t have to enter your real first or last name, and it’s not required to enter both. You can really make this name whatever you want it to be. You can even just add emojis if it suits you.
After you enter a name you like, tap the Save button at the bottom of the screen. Your display name will then be changed everywhere. The cool thing about this option is that you can go back and change it whenever you want, as many times as you want.
Create a New Account
If you don’t like your Snapchat username, there’s only one way to get a new one: create a new profile and transfer all of your data to it. This would be okay if Snapchat allowed you to do this, but again, they don’t. So if you want to keep using your old account, you have to find another way.
To create a new username, follow these steps: -First, sign in to your account. -Click on the “Your Account” tab at the top of the page. -On the “Your Account” page, click on the “Create a New Username” link. -Enter your desired username and click on the “Create Username” button. -You will now be taken to a new page where you can confirm your new username. Click on the “Confirm New Username” button and you will be taken back to the main account page. ..
To add your friends, you can either:
- Add them from your phone contacts
- From the app’s main screen, select “Add Friends” and then select your friends from your phone contacts
Quick Add: Friends from your old account that you can add again.

Deleting Your Old Snapchat

If you want to be logged into your account but still want it available, you can always log out of it and choose to save your log-in info. Then, whenever you log out of your new account, you’ll still be able to log into your old one if you want to.
